Begusarai, 30th April.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) pledge to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) across India post the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, during an election rally in Bihar’s Begusarai district on Monday.

Addressing the crowd, Shah dismissed the claims of opposition leaders regarding the revival of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, stating firmly that as long as even a single BJP worker exists, Article 370 will not be reinstated in the region.

Shah took aim at the opposition’s promises, particularly regarding triple talaq and Muslim personal law, asserting that such initiatives would not materialize under BJP rule. He emphasized that the BJP is poised to retain power and implement the UCC nationwide.

Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with curbing Maoist activities in Bihar and Jharkhand, fostering an environment conducive to progress and security. He contrasted this with the past administrations led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, criticizing their governance while praising the developmental efforts of the current regime.

Shah also lauded the contributions of former Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, underscoring PM Modi’s decision to posthumously confer the Bharat Ratna upon him.

The Home Minister concluded by urging the electorate of Begusarai to support BJP candidate Giriraj Singh in the upcoming polls, scheduled for the fourth phase on May 13. Singh faces competition from CPI’s Awadhesh Kumar Rai in the constituency.

The rally in Begusarai witnessed Shah’s impassioned appeal to voters, showing the BJP’s commitment to national unity, development, and inclusive governance.
