Mizoram Health Minister R Lalthangliana Defeated by ZPMs Jeje Lalpekhlua in South Tuipui Constituency

Aizawl, 4th Dec. Mizoram Health Minister R Lalthangliana has been defeated by ZPMs Jeje Lalpekhlua in the South Tuipui seat, according to the Election Commission.

Jeje Lalpekhlua, the nominee of Zoram Peoples Movement, received 5,468 votes, while R Lalthangliana, the candidate of Mizo National Front, secured 5,333 votes. C Laldintluanga of the Indian National Congress received 2,958 votes.

The counting of votes for the assembly elections in Mizoram began at 8 am on Monday under tight security.
