ED and CBI Are Independent, Not Affiliated with BJP: Minister Anurag Thakur

Disputing the opposition’s claims, Union Minister Anurag Thakur stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) operate independently and are not connected to the BJP.

During the Times Now Summit, Thakur emphasized that Prime Minister Modi has not been accused of corruption in the past 10 years.

He criticized Arvind Kejriwal for not responding to ED summons and highlighted that those who preach about morality are now in jail.

Thakur clarified that the actions of ED and CBI are separate from the BJP and they operate independently.

He also criticized the INDIA alliance, questioning their integrity and pointing out past corruption scandals.

Thakur defended the investigative agencies’ actions against corruption and emphasized that timing should not be a factor when dealing with corrupt individuals.

He mentioned the 2G scam investigation and criticized the UPA government for protecting those involved, promising a transparent probe if given permission.
