Bomb Threat at Bhopal Airport Prompts Police Investigation

 Authorities at the Raja Bhoj International Airport in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, were alerted to a bomb threat via email from an anonymous sender, prompting swift action by law enforcement.

The Chief Security Officer of the airport, Vishal Kumar Sharma, filed a complaint with the Gandhi Nagar police station, leading to the registration of a case against an unknown individual.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Zone 4), Sundar Singh Kanesh, confirmed that the bomb threat email mentioned the placement of an explosive device on an aircraft, raising concerns of a potential explosion at the airport.

Law enforcement officials initiated an investigation into the matter, with further action contingent upon the outcome of their findings.

In a separate incident, Dabolim airport in Goa also received a bomb threat via email, prompting authorities to implement heightened security measures. Despite the threat, flight operations remained unaffected, as confirmed by Dabolim Airport Director SVT Dhanamjaya Rao.

Rao assured that security agencies and airlines had been alerted, with additional security checks being conducted as a precautionary measure. As of now, there is no cause for panic, and operations at the airport continue to proceed normally.
