Assam Rifles Seize Large Cache of Arms and Ammunition Near Indo-Myanmar Border in Nagaland

Mon, 30th April. Assam Rifles, in a huge operation, intercepted a substantial quantity of arms, ammunition, and war-like stores near the Indo-Myanmar Border in Nagaland’s Mon district on April 29, 2024. Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the search operation, launched during the early morning hours, led to the apprehension of one individual and the recovery of a significant arsenal.

The seized items include 11 Mortar tubes (81mm), 04 Tubes (106mm), 10 Pistols, 198 Hand Held Radio Sets, one satellite phone, one Kenbo bike, one Bolero vehicle, and other military-grade stores. This significant recovery of heavy-caliber weaponry, coupled with nearly 200 Hand Held Radio Sets, underscores the potential threat posed by these weapons and the ill intentions of those seeking to disrupt peace in the region.
