GTTCI Organized International Tea Day Event at American Brew Delhi  

Diplomats and Ambassadors from different countries joined the event

New Delhi, 21st May. The Global Trade & Technology Council India (GTTCI) organised a Tea Day event on the occasion of International Tea Day with various Ambassadors and Diplomats from different countries.

This meeting was exclusively organised for GTTCI members.

The event was held at American Brew, Defence Colony, New Delhi and was attended by esteemed guests including

Ambassador of Belarus, Deputy head of embassy of Romania, Counsellor of embassy of USA, Diplomats from Embassy of Bhutan and Palestine.

It was a day dedicated to the magic of tea.This special occasion presented an exciting opportunity for tea enthusiasts and connoisseurs to come together and commemorate the rich heritage and global significance of tea.

Tea is a beverage made from the Camellia sinensis plant. Tea is the world’s most consumed drink, after water. It is believed that tea originated in northeast India, north Myanmar and southwest China, but the exact place where the plant first grew is not known.

Tea has been with us for a long time.The tea industry is a main source of income and export revenues for some of the poorest countries and, as a labour-intensive sector, provides jobs, especially in remote and economically disadvantaged areas.

Tea can play a significant role in rural development, poverty reduction and food security in developing countries, being one of the most important cash crops.

The Participating members included Dr Gaurav Gupta, Dr pawan kansal, Ankur khandelwal, Sanjay Agarwal, Kapil Khandelwal, Kawaljit Singh and Jasleen Kaur.The Guests -Preeti Puja and Pratap Palla also joined the event.

Guests and the participating members were provided with gifts from Shri and Sam and PolyFibre World.

International Tea Day serves as a platform to appreciate the diverse flavours, traditions, and benefits associated with tea, while also raising awareness about the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the global tea industry.

Altogether, It was a very successful event aimed at gathering together to enjoy tea, sip and savour, thus providing a networking opportunity for all.
