Maharashtra, 30th June. Raj Thackeray, the leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (NS), said in a tweet the day after Uddhav Thackeray announced his resignation as chief minister of Maharashtra: “therein begins the journey towards one’s decline.”

On Thursday, the MNS leader posted on Twitter that “the journey towards one’s decline begins when anyone misunderstands one’s good fortune as one’s personal accomplishment.”

Soon after the Supreme Court declined to postpone tomorrow’s assembly floor vote, Uddhav Thackeray announced his resignation as Maharashtra’s chief minister. Uddhav Thackeray gave a Facebook LIVE address to announce his resignation. Uddhav Thackeray declared, “As Chief Minister, I am resigning.” He also declared his intention to leave his position as MLC.

Uddhav Thackeray spoke via Facebook LIVE following the Supreme Court’s ruling “I came into power unexpectedly, and I’m leaving power in a similarly unexpected way. I won’t be here forever, and I’ll be sitting in Shiv Sena Bhawan once more. I’ll assemble my entire army. As the CM and an MLC, I am stepping down.”

“I want to thank the people of NCP and Congress for their support of me. Shiv Sena, Anil Parab, Subhash Desai, and Aaditya Thackeray were only present when the proposal was approved, and the NCP and Cong also backed it “said he.
