New Delhi, 31st March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was compelled to apologize to the nation and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh a day after the CBI submitted a closure report in the purported Air India scam case. Jairam Ramesh, the General Secretary of the Congress, specializes in Communications.

The Congress leader claimed that the CBI closed the case as a result of Praful Patel, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP, the Ajit Pawar faction), allying with the governing Bharatiya Janata Party.

“During the Air India scandal in 2014, PM Modi was promoting the CAG report everywhere. Because Praful Patel, the then-Minister, joined the BJP and entered its orbit, the CBI closed that case yesterday. Jairam Ramesh stated that PM Modi ought to apologize to both Manmohan Singh and the nation.

“You had presented the charge sheet against Manmohan Singh, citing the then-CAG report.” They compiled a list of all the fraudulent schemes perpetrated by Manmohan Singh. These weren’t CAG reports; they were political reports. It was demonstrated yesterday following the CBI’s closure of Praful Patel’s case,” he continued.

Additionally, he declared that the Congress is fighting the BJP with all of its might.

“We are fighting the BJP’s intentions, policies, and ideology, and that is our very clear goal. Congress is fully supporting it. We have made a great deal of concessions in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and other states to fortify the alliance, but for unique reasons, we were unable to prevail in West Bengal. TMC is a member of the INDIA bloc as they plan to attend the rally tomorrow. By considering the circumstances of 2024, we have reached a compromise,” he declared.

In response to a Supreme Court order, the CBI allegedly registered the Air India scam case in 2017 and earlier this week submitted a closure report to a special CBI court in Delhi.

The case concerned claims of anomalies in Air India’s aircraft leasing program. A number of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air India officials were investigated in connection with the case. Allegations surfaced that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s then-aviation minister, Praful Patel, misused his authority to lease a large number of aircraft for Air India, a public carrier at the time.
