Noida, 8th April.
Noida authorities have issued a traffic advisory ahead of resurfacing work commencing on a section of the Elevated Flyover, which will be inaccessible to commuters starting Monday. The road resurfacing operation began on Sunday afternoon, prompting officials to implement diversions to mitigate inconvenience for travelers.

The Noida Traffic Police has urged commuters to adhere to the diversions put in place and seek alternative routes to navigate through the affected area.

The Elevated Flyover serves as a crucial route for thousands of commuters traveling between Sector 18, Film City, Kalindi Kunj, South Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and various sectors of Noida.

According to a statement issued by the traffic police on Sunday, the resurfacing work is anticipated to take approximately 45 days to complete. The initial phase will focus on the elevated road from Sector 18 to NTPC, necessitating restrictions on traffic movement from Sector 18 to NTPC along the elevated road leading to Sector 61.

However, traffic movement from NTPC to Sector 60 will remain unaffected during this period.

The implementation of traffic diversions on Sunday resulted in heavy congestion at the Sector 31-25 Chowk and the Sector 18 underpass.

In light of the ongoing resurfacing work, emergency vehicles will be granted priority passage, while commuters are urged to utilize alternative routes to minimize inconvenience. Additionally, individuals experiencing traffic-related issues can contact the traffic helpline at 9971009001 for assistance.
