The IMD further said that the weather condition has turned into a zone of deep pressure and is likely to turn into a cyclonic storm ‘Tauktae’ by Saturday morning. It is likely to turn into a very severe cyclonic storm by Saturday night.

IMD’s Cyclone Warning Division said that between 16-19 May it is likely to turn into a “very severe cyclonic storm” with winds of 150–160 kmph. Winds may also vary in speed up to 175 km / h.
