New Delhi, 24th April.
Akbaruddin Owaisi, the leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), asserted on April 22 that Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to Bharatiya Muslims in a recent address as “infiltrators” (ghuspaithiye). Owaisi continued, saying that Bharat was, is, and always will be the country of people who gifted Bharat with the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, and other landmarks.

At a public demonstration in Hyderabad, Telangana, Owaisi asked, “Are we Muslims infiltrators and people with lots of kids? What is the number of siblings that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had? Vajpayee has seven siblings, and Muslims are known for having a large family.

Yogi Adityanath has seven siblings. The number of Amit Shah’s siblings is seven, as well. There are six of Narendra Modi’s siblings. We are the ones who gifted this country with the Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Char Minar. We have adorned this country. We don’t act as spies. We are citizens of this country. We own this country and we always will.

In contrast to Akbaruddin Owaisi’s assertion that Prime Minister Modi referred to Bharatiya Muslims as infiltrators, the Prime Minister stated at his rally in Rajasthan on April 21 that the Congress party would redistribute the nation’s wealth among Muslims, intruders, and those with multiple children as part of its “wealth redistribution” promise. However, despite claiming that Congress will redistribute money to both of these groups, PM Modi did not refer to Bharatiya Muslims as “ghuspaithiye” but rather as illegal immigrants.

It is important to note that Qutub Minar is said to have been constructed atop the remains of 27 Hindu and Jain temples, according to historians and inscriptions. The Mughal Emperor Qutub-Din-Aibak destroyed and damaged over 27 Hindu and Jain temples in 1198, leading to the construction of the aforementioned mosque in their place. Under the Slave Dynasty Emperor Qutub-Din-Aibak, who erected a structure at the same location and called it the Quwwat-Ul-Islam Mosque, the temples were destroyed, desecrated, and ruined. Qutub Minar was built after Hindu and Jain buildings were demolished, as evidenced by the pillars of the courtyard housing the monument. Famous historian Sita Ram Goel claims that there are more than 40,000 locations in Bharat where Indic religious centers were destroyed and replaced with mosques.

Tejo Mahalaya, a Hindu Mahal, was built upon which the Taj Mahal was also built. Photos released by the Archaeological Survey of India reveal that the 22 doors of the Taj Mahal lead only to a lengthy, uninterrupted arched corridor.
The site of the Taj Mahal was once home to a riverbank estate owned by Jai Singh, a senior general and minor king of the Mughal empire, according to historical records and farman (official decrees) from the 17th century.

So who gave what gift to whom and to whom? In the instance of Gyanvapi, it is evident to the unaided eye that the site was formerly a temple before a mosque was built upon it. There are numerous examples of Muslim constructions such as mazar, mosques, dargahs, forts, eidgah, and others that clearly indicate they were built on temple grounds and/or with materials taken from existing temples.

But the evidence is not always clear in many of these constructions around the nation. Arun Shourie, Harsh Narain, Jay Dubashi, Ram Swarup, and historian Sita Ram Goel co-authored the two-volume book “Hindu Temples: What Happened To Them” in 1990.  Goel documented approximately 1,800 Muslim constructions in the book, many of which were built on top of pre-existing temples or with materials salvaged from demolished temples. From Qutub Minar to the locations listed in the book, such as Babri Masjid, Gyanvapi, and Pinjore Gardens.

Interestingly, the remarks made by AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi are not new. Akbaruddin Owaisi made a divisive comment against Hindus back in 2012. During his speech, he was observed making numerous fun of Hindu Gods and Goddesses and openly challenging Hindus to survive for fifteen minutes without the presence of police.
