At Goa Medical College, 15 patients died due to lack of oxygen between 2 pm to 6 am Thursday. Two days ago 26 patients died due to lack of oxygen in the same hospital. During the hearing in the Bombay High Court in this case, the Goa government cited lack of expert drivers behind the disruptions of oxygen service, which was also reprimanded by the High Court.

The court said that the Central Government should ensure that the fixed quota of oxygen is available to Goa as soon as possible. Cases of Corona are increasing rapidly in the state at present. Justice Nitin W. Sambre and Justice M.S., the bench of Sonak said that despite the order of May 12, the court has to file with great sadness that around 40 patients have died due to Covid-19 in GMCH. The court said that about 15 of these people died late Thursday between two o’clock to six o’clock in the morning.
