Madhya Pradesh Government to Bear Treatment Cost of Covid19 Affected Working Journalists and Families

Bhopal, 14^th May. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the state government will bear the Corona treatment of journalists in electronic, print and digital media. Apart from this, if a person in his family is infected with corona, then the state government will also bear the expenses.

He tweeted, “हमारे सभी मीडिया के साथी #COVID19 काल में जन जागृति का धर्म निभा रहे हैं। मध्यप्रदेश में अधिमान्य और गैर अधिमान्य पत्रकार साथियों को पहले से ही पत्रकार बीमा योजना अंतर्गत इलाज की व्यवस्था की गई है और पत्रकार कल्याण योजना द्वारा सहायता दी जा रही है।“

 “All our media companions are following the path of public awakening in the period # COVID19. In Madhya Pradesh, preferential and non-preferential journalists have already been provided treatment under Journalist Insurance Scheme and are being assisted by Journalist Welfare Scheme.

In the thread he further said, “आज मैंने हमारे पत्रकार साथियों व उनके परिवार के हित में एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिया है। पत्रकार साथियों का #COVID19 का इलाज प्रदेश सरकार कराएगी। प्रिंट, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक और डिजिटल मीडिया के सभी सदस्य अधिमान्य और गैर अधिमान्य साथियों का कोरोना के इलाज की चिंता अब सरकार करेगी।“

The scheme will cover all journalists working in the editorial department of print, electronic and digital media, journalists in the desk, fellow cameramen and photographers. Also, the government will also bear the COVID19 treatment of the family of media persons.
