Bengaluru, 7th September. Parts of Bengaluru that had been battered by torrential rains for the past few days appeared to be gradually returning to normalcy, with flood waters receding in some areas.

According to official sources, most of the waterlogged roads have been cleared, and work is underway to remove water from some of the worst-affected areas that have been inundated.

Traffic is almost back to normal, and things should be back to normal soon, they hoped.

The Bengaluru traffic police have issued an advisory about water logging near the ‘Eco Space’ on the Outer Ring Road, among other places.

In addition, the city’s Cauvery water supply is said to have been restored to a large extent after being disrupted in some areas due to flooding at a pumping station in T K Halli, officials said.

Meanwhile, Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCT) are meeting with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday to assess the extent of damage caused by floods in July and August in the state.
