West Bengal: Two Winning BJP MLAs Resigned

Kolkata, 13th May. Two BJP MLAs who have won the West Bengal Assembly Elections have resigned. The BJP had given the Assembly Ticket to the MPs and they have also been successful in winning it. But following the order of the party high command, two BJP MLAs have resigned from the membership of the assembly.

Actually MPs Nishith Pramanik and Jagannath Sarkar have been elected as MLAs from Dinhata and Shantipur respectively, but now both the leaders have resigned as MLAs on the party’s instructions. Both have submitted their resignations to Speaker Biman Banerjee.

After resigning from the post of MLA, Lok Sabha MP Nishith Pramanik said, ‘We have followed the party’s decision. The party has decided that we should resign from our assembly seats. In the assembly elections, the BJP had nominated MPs and ministers with the goal of winning. Of these, two BJP MPs Nishith Pramanik and Jagannath Sarkar (Jagannath Sarkar) were given tickets by the party from Dinhata and Shantipur and both leaders have been elected MLAs. In such a situation, both can continue at any one post either MLA or MP.
