TMC Ministers Called for Questioning in Narada Scam, Furious Mamata Banerjee Reached CBI Office

Kolkata, 17th May. Today, CBI officials reached the residence of Firhad Hakim and searched his house. Firhad Hakim was then brought to the CBI office for further questioning. Now as per the information, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of the state has reached the CBI office.

The CBI has taken Firhad Hakim, an accused in the Narada Sting case, for questioning. Apart from this, the house of Minister Subrata Mukherjee and MLA Madan Mitra’s houses were also raided and they were summoned by the CBI office for questioning. Apart from this, action has also been taken on former Mayor Sovan Chatterjee.

Earlier, West Bengal Governor Jagdish Dhankhar had approved the CBI officials for investigation against Firhad Hakim. In this case, a sting operation was done on behalf of Narada, in which several TMC leaders were caught taking bribes on camera.

CBI sources said that all four have been brought to the office for questioning in the Narada Sting case. They will be questioned in the Narada case. However, the CBI denied the arrest and said that none of these four have been arrested.

 

 

 

 

 

In 2016, Narada sting tapes were made public before the assembly elections in Bengal. It was claimed that these tapes were recorded in the year 2014. It featured individuals who looked like TMC ministers, MPs and MLAs, allegedly taking cash from representatives of a fictitious company. This sting operation was carried out by Matthew Samuel of the Narada News Portal. In 2017, the Calcutta High Court ordered the CBI to investigate these tapes.
