“Perform, Reform, Transform, Inform”: Modi’s Mandate at First Cabinet Meeting of Govt 3.0

New Delhi, 29th August. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the first cabinet meeting of Modi Government 3.0 on Wednesday. The meeting emphasized a new mantra: “Perform, Reform, Transform, and Inform.” It highlighted the need for faster and more effective communication of the government’s achievements.

During the approximately five-hour-long meeting at the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Delhi, the cabinet discussed plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of key schemes, including the Jan Dhan Yojana, infrastructure projects, and advancements in health and education. They reviewed the 73 major decisions made by the cabinet in the past 85 days.

The agenda also included evaluating progress on the first 100 days of the NDA government’s third term and discussing issues related to women, the poor, youth, and farmers. The meeting featured presentations from various government departments on their progress in relation to the 100-day agenda.

Prime Minister Modi spoke for around 40 minutes, encouraging ministers and secretaries to work with enthusiasm, optimism, and firm belief. He also thanked outgoing Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba for his contributions. The meeting underscored the importance of cleanliness campaigns and emphasized working on budget announcements.

Department officials presented updates on their ministries’ progress concerning the 100-day agenda. Focusing on infrastructure development, the NDA government has approved projects exceeding ₹2.30 lakh crore to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047, including new railway lines, ports, airports, and industrial smart cities.
