Lockdown Extended in Kerala Till 23rd May

Thiruvananthapuram, 14th May. The state government has extended the complete lockdown in the state till May 23 considering the horrific situation of Corona pandemic in Kerala. State Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the positivity rate in the state is still very high, so the state government has decided to increase the lockdown.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that triple lockdown will be imposed in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Malappuram. The positivity rate in these cities is very high.

On Friday, 34694 new cases of corona infection were reported in the state. Today 93 people died due to this corona infection. So far, 6243 people have died due to corona in the state. More than 31 thousand people have recovered from Corona since Friday. In this way, about 16 lakh 37 thousand people have been recovered from Corona so far. A total of 1,31,375 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in the state.
