Hyderabad, 20th Oct.  Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao said on Tuesday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress are working together in the forthcoming by-elections in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
He stated that the Congress party ran a ‘dummy’ candidate, a non-local, just to assist the BJP.
Rao told the reporters that the two parties had joined forces in Huzurabad, just as they had done in the Nizamabad and Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituencies during the 2019 elections.
The TRS was defeated as a result of collusion between the BJP and the Congress in these two constituencies.
KTR, as Rama Rao is widely known, expressed confidence that the TRS will win the Huzurabad by-election slated for October 30 despite the conspiracy of the Congress and the BJP.
He challenged state Congress President A. Revanth Reddy to rescue his party’s Huzurabad candidate’s deposit. He was perplexed as to why the Congress leader was not campaigning in the by-election.
KTR also stated that he will not campaign for the by-election and that he had not campaigned in the Dubbaka and Nagarjuna Sagar by-elections. He stated that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to the Assembly constituency had yet to be finalised.
