The Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra, also known as “Harmony of the Pines,” is an exceptional musical ensemble that was established in 1996 with just seven members. Originally formed to help relieve stress among the police force, the band quickly began performing at various departmental functions.

Harmony of the Pines captivated the audience at the 2023 International Film Festival of India in Goa.

The Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra was a finalist on the television show “Hunarbaaz Desh ki Shaan” on Colours TV, which brought them widespread popularity. They were subsequently appointed as brand ambassadors for the Election Commission of India. The band’s rise to fame reached new heights when they were honored with their own Indian Postal Stamp.

In a significant event in 2016, the Himachal Pradesh Government officially recognized the band and bestowed upon them the title of “Harmony of the Pines Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra.” This recognition made them the first band in India to represent the police force on national and international stages.
