Kolkata, 29th Sep. Former Goa Chief Minister and MLA Luizinho Faleiro has joined Trinamool Congress in Kolkata. Including him, a total of 10 people have joined the TMC today.

He had resigned from the Congress party and the post of MLA on Monday. While leaving the party, Faleiro wrote an emotional letter to Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi and told how the Congress could not form the government despite becoming the single largest party in the 2017 elections.

Luizinho in his letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi said that “I don’t see any hope to prevent the weakening of the Congress party or any possibility to get better.”

Earlier, with the announcement of leaving the Congress, Faleiro had praised Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said that in the present scenario, Mamata is the only leader who has the ability to challenge the Central Government and the BJP. She is the only leader who is fighting on the road for the people. She is the only one who is taking on the Central Government and we should support her.
