First ‘Oxygen Express’ Arrives in Rajasthan from Hapa to Kota Rajasthan

Kota, 7th May. The first ‘Oxygen Express’ from Hapa Gujarat reached Kota station in Rajasthan on Friday. The train left with 40.64 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) in three tankers on Thursday. This is the first ‘Oxygen Express’ run for Rajasthan.

Giving this information, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, “The first ‘Oxygen Express’ from Hapa to Kota has reached its destination to supply oxygen for Corona patients in Rajasthan.

The Oxygen Express has reached Kota, Rajasthan carrying 40.64 MT liquid medical oxygen from Hapa Gujarat to ensure oxygen supply to Rajasthan. The supply of Oxygen for corona patients is accelerated by the Indian Railways through the green corridor.

Indian Railways on Thursday said that it has so far delivered 161 tankers of 2,511 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen to various states of the country. According to the Railways, 40 Oxygen Express trains have run till now, while more than 400 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) tankers are being delivered to Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. So far, 174 tonnes have been delivered to Maharashtra by Oxygen Express, 641 tonnes to Uttar Pradesh, 190 tonnes to Madhya Pradesh, 229 tonnes to Haryana, 123 tonnes to Telangana and 707 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen to Delhi.
