Earthquake of 4.5 Magnitude on the Richter Near Amreli in Gujarat

Ahmadabad, 17th May. Earthquake tremors have been felt near Amreli, Gujarat. According to the National Center of Seismology, the magnitude of this earthquake has been measured at 4.5 on the Richter scale. However, there is no news of any loss of life or property in the earthquake.

Apart from this, earthquake tremors were also felt in Rajkot, Gujarat. Its intensity on the Richter scale was 3.8. This has been confirmed by the National Center for Seismology. There is no information about any loss of life or property from this earthquake.

Meanwhile, an alert has been issued to the coastal areas of Gujarat regarding Cyclone Tauktae. Due to this storm, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coastal areas of Gujarat today and tomorrow. 50 teams of NDRF have been deployed to deal with this disaster. The fishermen have been shifted to a safe place.

The Meteorological Department has warned that the Tauktae storm could become even more dangerous in the next 24 hours. The storm may hit the coast of Gujarat today and is likely to pass between Porbandar and Mahuva on 18 May. Apart from this, the effect of the storm was also seen in Kerala. Several areas received heavy rains due to toutes here.
