Covid 19 surge: DM Dehradun directs officials to act against the overcharging for the sample testing at homes.

Dehradun, 11th May. The DM Dehradun Dr Ashish Shrivastava on receiving the complaints of some medical labs overcharging for the sample testing in homes and asking more money than the rate fixed by the administration in the district has directed the health officials to investigate the matter and initiate action as per the law. He directed the CMO Dehradun to collect the information from all the labs ensure that no entry is pending. He directed the Chief Medical Officer to obtain record of the home isolation kit samples distributed to the needy person and verify it through telephone whether it has been received or not.
He directed all SDM’s to provide chairs and tent for persons coming to the centres set up for vaccination in their areas in the age group of 18-44 years. He said that those who are coming for vaccination need to be registered first.
He reviewed the progress of the work of Covid Hospital being constructed through DRDO at Rishikesh and took stock of arrangements like roads, electricity, water etc ad directed the officials to ensure that the hospital is made operational till 18th May.
DM Dehradun directed the officials to carry out effective surveillance work in the containment zones declared in their respective areas, In addition to following the Covid19 guidelines strictly and make the public aware of the covid-19 infection and its prevention through posters, banners, pamphlets, messages, etc. He also directed the officials to ensure immediate sampling of persons showing signs of covid-19 infection and ensure the distribution of home isolation kits.
