Uttarakhand: Now Lord Kedarnath shrine prasad at your doorsteps

Dehradun, 9th June. The devotees of Kedarnath shrine who are unable to visit the shrine due to Covid 19 restrictions during the Chardham Yatra have something to cheer about as now they will be able to receive the Prasad that will be delivered to their doorsteps through telephone booking through an effort made by district administration Rudraprayag.
The Kedarnath souvenir growth centre has taken up an initiative to make arrangements of proving the Kedarnath shrine prasad which includes Panjiri prepared by roasting wheat flour in Ghee and adding dry fruits and spices like Jeera (cumin), Dhaniya (coriander), Saunth (Dry Ginger powder) along with Chaulai (Amaranth grain) ladoos a packet of ,Incense, Honey Belpatr(Vine leaves) the holy water from the Udak kund ad ashes from the samadhi.
Around 136 women self-help groups have prepared 1.39 lakh packets of Chaulai ladoos ,72 000 packets of Panjiri,90 packets of incense, I.50 lakh packets of vine leaves, 35000 honey packets and 45 000 small bottles of holy water from Udak Kund to be distributed as prasad. The centre has collected the data of more than 1.5 crore devotees who will be informed about the scheme through telephone.
The Uttarakhand government had started similar arrangements during the first lockdown where it was distributing prasad through online booking during the first lockdown due to the Covid pandemic.
Devotees had to log onto www.onlineprasad.com to get the prasad delivered to his home for Rs 451. The centre taking o from there has decided to distribute the prasad through their own efforts with an aim to provide blessings of Lord Kedarnath to the pilgrims who cannot visit the shrine.
The district officials said that the initiative will help local communities, especially women self-help groups who are involved in making special ‘prasad’ for the shrine.
