The other parties are regional but this is a national party,” said, Prasad at BJP media headquarters. He said that his decision to leave Congress comes after long deliberation. “I have joined BJP today with the intention of contributing to the India that PM Modi is building,” said Prasad.

After Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jitin Prasad’s departure from the Congress team is being considered to be a huge loss for the party.
