Students, Intellectuals and Journalists Exempted from the Travel Ban Announced by US for India

Washington, 1st May. After announcing a travel ban on India from May 4, the US administration has said that students, intellectuals and journalists will be exempted from it.

The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that this travel ban will not apply on students, some intellectuals and journalists. A few hours after the White House announced a travel ban on India from May 4, Foreign Minister Tony Blinken issued a waiver notice. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian travelers will also get exemption in the same categories of travelers who have received exemption from Brazil, China, Iran and South Africa.
