Sonia Gandhi writes to PM Modi over the outbreak Black Fungus disease and medicine shortages to treat it

New Delhi,  22nd May. Cong interim president Sonia Gandhi wrote to Modi over the outbreak of mucormycosis’, or black fungus, and the shortage of medicines to treat it. She asked Prime minister Modi to act in the matter.
Sonia Gandhi in herletter said that there was an immense shortage of medicine and it should be arranged.
Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers D.V Sadananda Gowda in response announced that after a detailed review of the rising number of cases of Mucormycosis in various states, a total of 23680 additional vials of Amphotericin- B have been allocated to all States/UTs today. In his tweet, he said after a detailed review of the rising no. of cases of #Mucormycosis in various states, a total of 23680 additional vials of #Amphotericin- B have been allocated to all States/UTs today. The Allocation has been made based on the total no. of patients which is approx. 8848 across the country.
