Several Key National Conference Leaders Join BJP, a Big Blow to Farooq Abdullah

Several important leaders of the National Conference, including its Kathua district president, have joined the BJP on Sunday, which is a major blow to the Farooq Abdullah-led party in the Jammu region.

Many supporters and district office bearers have also switched from the National Conference to the BJP.

The joining ceremony took place at the BJP’s headquarters in Jammu, where Ravinder Raina, the saffron party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit chief, and other leaders warmly welcomed the new members.

During the event, Raina emphasized the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of all people, regardless of their region or religion.

He also highlighted the historic contributions and achievements of the BJP in healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and socio-economic progress.

Raina praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, attributing the unity and progress of the nation to his dedicated efforts.
Senior BJP leader Devinder Singh Rana emphasized the inclusive approach of the BJP, stating that every new member is welcomed with love and camaraderie.

Sanjeev Khajuria, who previously led the National Conference’s Kathua district unit, highlighted the positive impact of the Modi government’s welfare schemes at the grassroots level. He also praised the prime minister’s leadership for India’s standing on the global stage.

In a separate event, former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta urged party members to strengthen the party at the booth level to ensure victory in the upcoming elections.

Gupta emphasized the BJP’s commitment to serving the people and addressing the challenges faced by Jammu and Kashmir.

He stressed the importance of reaching out to voters, especially women and young people, to counter the narratives of opposition parties.

Senior leader Rekha Mahajan welcomed the new members and encouraged them to work diligently to strengthen the BJP’s presence at the booth level.
