Tokyo/New Delhi,28th July. India’s medal hope PV Sindhu, after easing past the 58th ranked Israel’s Ksenia Polikarpova 21-7 21-10 in her opening Group J match on Sunday, defeated Cheung Ngan Yi of Hong Kong in two straight games on Wednesday.
PV Sindhu breezed past easily in the first game, but NI came back strongly and gave a tough fight with 13 -13 in second game but Sindhu thereafter won continuous points and won her match convincingly.
PV Sindhu has won all five of her encounters against Ngan Yi of Hong Kong that helped in raising her game here . Ngan Yi is currently ranked world no 34 but it would be an error to just go by her rankings
