Political Temperature Rises as Campaigns Heat Up for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

As the nation gears up for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections scheduled to be held in seven phases between April 19 and June 1, both the BJP-led NDA and the Opposition INDIA bloc have intensified their campaigning efforts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his campaign for Uttarakhand from Rudrapur, while Union Minister Amit Shah addressed the Shakti Kendra Pramukh Sammelan in Bengaluru.

PM Modi took aim at the Congress party during his Rudrapur rally, accusing them of perpetuating corruption. He contrasted his party’s stance of combating corruption with the Congress’ alleged policy of protecting corrupt individuals.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah continued the offensive against the Congress, highlighting what he claimed to be instances of corruption amounting to Rs 12 lakh crores under their rule.

The Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in seven phases, with polling dates set for April 19, 26, May 7, 13, 20, 25, and June 1.

The counting of votes for all 543 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled for June 4, marking the conclusion of the electoral process.
