BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra clearing the air on the issue said that  no state has submitted details of  the due to lack of oxygen. If the States do not send any data about the death, what information will be given? He counter questioned the opposition.

Patra said that the Opposition is playing politics on this issue. Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal remarks have exposed heir double standard on the issue said Patra.

On the other hand, in a scathing attack on the Central Government for its statement that there was no death due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of the Covid epidemic, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday alleged that the deaths were due to increased oxygen exports by the government in the epidemic year and it did not provide tankers for transporting oxygen.

Sanjay Raut said, ‘I am speechless at this response. What will happen to families who have lost their near and corner due to lack of oxygen after hearing this statement? He said, “A case should be registered against the government. They are lying. Mansukh Mandaviya, who handles the health ministry, tweeted that the data was prepared based on reports received from states and Union Territories. He had also said in the Rajya Sabha that states have been asked to register all cases and deaths.
