New Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur assumes charge of the information broadcasting ministry.

New Delhi, 8th July. New Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur assumed charge of the information broadcasting ministry on Thursday morning.
Anurag Thakur was elevated to the post of Cabinet minister and given charge of Sports, Information broadcasting ministry. The 46-year-old MP from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh was earlier the Minisetr of state finance and is one of the young face in the cabinet.
The Minister reached the Information and Broadcasting Ministry at Shastri Bhawan at 9.30 am where he was received by the secretary of the department Amit Khare. Other senior officials of the Ministry were also present on the occasion.
Talking to media on the occasion, Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a tremendous job in the last seven years for India’s progress. He will try to live up to the responsibility given and expected by the Prime Minister in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
