N Rangasamy Sworn in as CM of Puducherry for Fourth Time

Puducherry, 7th May. N Rangasamy has become the CM of the Union Territory of Puducherry. N Rangasamy, the head of the All India NR Congress (AINRC), has administered the oath of Chief Minister by Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan in a simple ceremony at Raj Niwas today.

N Rangasamy has sworn in as the CM of Puducherry for the fourth time. N Rangasamy is a well-known face of Puducherry’s politics. Prior to this, he has been the Chief Minister of Puducherry thrice. Puducherry has a coalition government of AINRC and BJP.

N Rangasamy has sworn in alone today. Other than him no one has sworn in as a minister. Other ministers may take oath in Puducherry in the next few days. Puducherry, with 30 assembly seats, can have six ministers, including the chief minister. There is also discussion of making a Deputy Chief Minister this time in Puducherry. If this happens, it will be the first time that Puducherry will have a Deputy Chief Minister.
