Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey Advocates Education as Pathway to Peace

In a concerted effort to nurture harmony and prosperity in Manipur, Governor Anusuiya Uikey spearheaded discussions with Professor A.K. Choudhary, the Vice-Chancellor of Veer Tikendrajit Vishwavidyalaya, and Dr. Johnson Luwang, the Coordinator of the University’s Research and Extension Directorate.

Governor Leads Talks for Sustainable Peace

Governor Anusuiya Uikey took proactive steps towards fostering lasting peace and stability in the region by engaging in strategic discussions with Maheshwar Thounaojam, the National Secretary of the Republican Party of India (A), and Potshangbam Chand.

The deliberations centered on pivotal issues including the Manipur Hill Areas (Administration of Ownership) Act, 1967, the cessation of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, and the imperative implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Governor Convenes with New Assam Rifles Inspector General

Governor Anusuiya Uikey held a significant meeting with Major General Ravirup Singh, the recently appointed Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South), to address the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur.

Accompanied by the outgoing IG, Major General Rajan Sherawat, the Governor extended her best wishes to Major General Ravirup Singh as he undertakes his new responsibilities.
