Lowest Daily New Covid Cases Reported after 25 days, Death Toll Still Cause of Concern

New Delhi, 17th May. Country reported less daily new covid cases but the death toll is still increasing. 2 lakh 81 thousand 386 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, 4106 people died. Earlier, on April 21, 2 lakh 95 thousand 41 cases were reported. 3 lakh 78 thousand 741 were recovered in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of corona infected patients in the country has increased to 24 crore 68 lakh 40 thousand 77. So far, a total of 2 lakh 70 thousand 284 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus. The number of active cases is 35 lakh 16 thousand 997 and a total of 2 crore 11 lakh 74 thousand 76 people have recovered so far.
The National Recovery Rate is 84.81%. 3,78,741 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. Also, 24-hour Recoveries have outnumbered the daily new COVID Cases for the sixth time in last 7 days and consistently in the last 4 days.
