IREDA Partners with IIT Bhubaneswar to Drive Renewable Energy Innovation

 Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has taken a notable stride in advancing innovation and research within the renewable energy sector. On February 11, 2024, at the 100 Cube Start-up Conclave hosted by Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar), IREDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the institute. The primary objective of this MoU is to foster collaborative efforts in innovation and research, facilitate technology transfer, and nurture the start-up ecosystem.

The partnership between IREDA and IIT Bhubaneswar is expected to bolster joint research initiatives, promote technology transfer, and provide robust support for start-up ventures. Additionally, it will encompass capacity-building endeavors such as training programs, seminars, and workshops to enhance the skills of IREDA personnel.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, and Dr. Debi Prasad Dogra, Independent Director of IIT Bhubaneswar. Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, also attended the event.

In his remarks, the CMD of IREDA expressed the significance of this partnership, stating, “This collaboration with IIT Bhubaneswar signifies a crucial milestone in our journey towards promoting innovation and sustainable development in the renewable energy sector. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both organizations, we aim to spearhead impactful research initiatives and drive the growth of renewable energy.”
