“India is the Future”: PM Modi at News 9 Global Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the podium at the News 9 Global Summit held in New Delhi on Monday, with the overarching theme of ‘India: Poised for the Big Leap’.

In his address, the Prime Minister commended the diverse reporting team of TV 9, stating that their multi-language news platforms aptly represent the mosaic of India’s vibrant democracy.

Reflecting on the summit’s theme, ‘India: Poised for the Big Leap’, PM Modi underscored the indispensable role of passion and enthusiasm in propelling significant progress. He emphasized India’s self-assurance and ambitions, attributing them to a decade-long foundation characterized by a transformative mindset, bolstered self-confidence, and effective governance.

Highlighting the pivotal role of the common citizen in India’s trajectory, the Prime Minister dismissed defeatist mindsets, emphasizing the extraordinary leap India has undertaken. He contrasted this with the challenges inherited from past administrations, marked by corruption, policy paralysis, and dynasty politics, which imperiled the nation’s foundations. PM Modi celebrated India’s ascension to the top five global economies, emphasizing the nation’s penchant for monumental achievements.

Enumerating the accomplishments of the past decade, PM Modi cited a substantial surge in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), the digital revolution, and burgeoning trust in India’s COVID-19 vaccine. He underscored the burgeoning number of taxpayers as a testament to growing faith in governance.

The Prime Minister credited the government’s work culture and governance for this transformation, asserting that government offices are now allies of the people rather than impediments.

Illustrating the paradigm shift, PM Modi cited examples of long-pending projects completed under the government’s tenure, from infrastructure to healthcare and connectivity initiatives. He underscored the impact of regular project monitoring under PRAGATI and highlighted rapid completion rates achieved.

The Prime Minister outlined a relentless pursuit of progress, citing a cascade of accomplishments spanning education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic indicators. He hailed the government’s emphasis on rural development and poverty alleviation, noting a significant decline in poverty levels and increased rural spending capacity.

PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to governance of saturation, ensuring equitable distribution of developmental benefits. He emphasized a departure from vote bank politics towards performance-driven governance, encapsulating the ethos of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.

Touching upon critical decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Mandir, PM Modi reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to national interests.
