Income Tax department raids Dainik Bhaskar media group for tax evasion

New Delhi, 22nd July. The Income Tax department carried out a drive against Dainik Bhaskar media group for alleged tax evasion on Thursday. Raids were conducted in several cities in Bhopal, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and other parts of the country, said Tax officials.

Some other places were also raided being raided. However there has been no official confirmation from the Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said sources. Prominent Hindi media group promoters also operate in several states and the Dainik Bhaskar group publishes a total of 5 newspapers in the country in Hindi, Marathi and in Gujarati.

65 editions of it are published from different parts of the country. Daily Bhaskar carried out massive coverage during second Covid wave in April and May this year.
