Hindi University Initiative Towards Making a Pollution-Free Campus

Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha, Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Shukla, taking concrete steps towards making the campus pollution free, handed battery-operated bicycles to selected teachers and officials, following the Covid Protocol today (Wednesday) evening, following social distance.

He said that bicycle riding is not only beneficial in terms of physical exertion but also increases immunity to prevent corona infection. The concept of self-reliant India will also be strengthened by this. Pro. Rajneesh Kumar Shukla expressed the hope that university students and researchers will also be encouraged to ride bicycles.

Jayant Upadhyay, Assistant Registrar was present.

Registrar Kadar Nawaz Khan said that the university bought 122 bicycles from the Hero Company with the aim of reducing the pollution of petrol and diesel powered vehicles, which can be run without batteries and without batteries. He informed that 20 charging points are being installed in the university campus for easy charging of bicycles. Hindi University has become the first university in the country where teachers and officers will come to the campus by bicycle.
