Himanta Biswa Sarma will take Oath as Chief Minister of Assam Today

Guwahati, 10th May. BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as the Chief Minister of Assam at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra here on Monday. Sarma met Governor Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan on Sunday.

BJP national president JP Nadda will also participate in this program.

Earlier in the day, Sarma, who was elected the leader of BJP and NDA Legislature Party, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan and handed him a list of newly elected MLAs of the alliance. Governor will administer the oath to Sarma at 12 o’clock in the day on Monday at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra. The names or number of ministers who will take oath with Sarma is not yet known.
