Heads roll before the cabinet reshuffle in Modi 2.0 Government: 12 ministers along with Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank resign

New Delhi,7th July. In a major development 12 ministers in the union government have resigned before the cabinet reshuffle meeting to be held at 6 pm in New Delhi on Wednesday. This is the major cabinet expansion exercise being carried out by the Narendra Modi led 2.0 government following the completion of its two years in office.
The major heads to roll before the cabinet reshuffle included Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Santosh Gangwar , Thavar Chand Gehlot, Pratap Sarangi, Santosh Gangwar, Prakash Javdekar, Harsh Vardhan,Ratan Lal Kataria , Babul Supriyo, Deboshri Chaudhry, Dr Harshvardhan, Sadanand Gauda. All these ministers have been removed based on their lack of performance in respective ministries.
According to the sources through the cabinet expansion, around 45 ministerial births are up for grabs PM Narendra Modi government is planning to give the young leaders in the party and opportunity to prove their worth in the government.
The lack of performance and complaints of lethargic work culture is being seen as the decision behind the resignation of 12 ministers in the union government. The Modi government was unhappy with especially Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank as there were allegations that the education department had turned into a corrupt entity since the anointment of Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank who is presently MP from Haridwar in Uttarakhand, said sources.
However, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is said to have resigned due to health reasons as he had to be admitted in AIIMS due to post Covid problems. Ajay Bhatt MP from Nainital is being said to be at the top of the list for ministerial birth from Uttarakhand along with Trivendra Rawat who resigned as chief Minister few months bac. Another former chief minister Tirath Rawat id also iin contention from Uttarakhand.
Union Minister Thaavar Chand Gehlot was discharged from the cabinet as he has been appointed the Governor of Karnataka. . West Bengal MP Deboshree Chaudhary and Santosh Gangwar, Prakash Javedkar, Sadanand Gowda are other major names to be removed from the cabinet before the cabinet expansion.
As per the government sources former Bihar deputy CM and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi is also out of the race as he has not been summoned to Delhi and he is still in Patna.
It is being said that in this cabinet reshuffle Modi government will be inducting will be mix bag with focus on the young leaders below the age of 50 years. 14 Minsiters will be below age of 40 years bringing down the averga age of the cabiet to 58 years. Women leaders also also being pitted to get much more representation in the cabinet and five misiters will be from the minority quota.
Meenakshi Lekhi may also be inducted in the Modi cabinet. Apart from this promotion of Anurag Thakur is likely said sources. The stature of G Reddy, Hardeep Singh Puri could also be increased in this cabinet expansion. Mansukh Mandaviya could also be promoted.
The leaders began trickling in to attend the crucial meeting held at the PM’s residence since morning were Jyotiraditya Scindia, Narayan Rane, Sarbananda Sonowal, Pashupatinath Paras, who joined BJP from Congress. The meeting was attended by several senior leaders including Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda. All the leaders who have been sent the offer have been told about the dress code for the swearing in ceremony.
