Goa Government Announced 15 Days Lockdown Starting Tomorrow

Goa, 8th May. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday announced a 15-day lockdown to overcome the Covid pandemic starting from Sunday. This lockdown will come into force from 9 am on Sunday, 9th May. Restrictions will be implemented throughout the state during this period. However, during this time, from 7 am to 1 pm, the essential services will be allowed.

CM Sawant said that it has been made mandatory for all tourists visiting Goa to show a negative report of RT-PCR test or a certificate of vaccination (both doses).

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that essential services including medical supplies will be allowed during this period. Grocery stores will be allowed to open from seven in the morning to one in the afternoon. Permission to take food from the restaurant will be allowed from seven in the morning to seven in the evening.

Apart from this, it will be mandatory for travelers coming to Goa to present RT-PCR negative reports or vaccination certificates (both doses). Sawant said that both the positivity rate and the death rate are increasing in the state. There is no shortage of oxygen and medicines here. The Chief Minister said that a detailed order in this regard will be issued at four o’clock on Saturday afternoon.
