First Dose of Sputnik V Vaccine Administered to Deepak Sapra, Global Head of Custom Pharma Services in Hyderabad

New Delhi, 14th May. Sputnik V Vaccine will be available in the market from next week. However the price of Sputnik V vaccine will be slightly more than both the existing vaccines. A single dose of Sputnik-V will cost Rs 995.40.

Sputnik V will be manufactured in India. Dr. Reddy Lab gave this information. The company said that this vaccine was approved by the Central Drugs Laboratories on Thursday.

1.5 lakh doses of Sputnik V vaccine are available in India till now. In February this year, the trial results of this vaccine were published in The Lancet, in which it was said to be safe and effective.

The first dose of Sputnik-V vaccine was administered to Deepak Sapra, Global Head of Custom Pharma Services today (14 May) in Hyderabad. Dr. Reddy Lab informed that the first shipment of Sputnik-V vaccine reached India on 1 May.
