Election Commission strict on News of the celebrations from party supporters coming along with the trends

Kolkata, 2^nd May. Trinamool Congress supporters have started celebrating in Kalighat, Kolkata after early trends of counting of votes. Supporters were seen waving flags, chanting slogans, playing colors and dancing. Trinamool supporters have started celebrating in Asansol as well.

It is noteworthy that due to the serious situation of coronavirus, the Election Commission has banned any victory celebration. The Election Commission has taken a tough stance on the news of celebrations coming from the concerned party supporters along with the trends. The Commission has directed the Chief Secretaries of the five states to suspend the SHOs and other officials concerned in any such case and to take immediate criminal and disciplinary action against them.
