Controversial Statement of MP Pragya Thakur on Mamata Banerjee

GG News Bureau

Bhopal, 6th May. MP from Bhopal Pragya Thakur has made controversial remarks on the West Bengal government. Pragya Thakur described Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as demoness (Taraka). She expressed displeasure over the ruthless killing of Hindu activists, the incidents of rape and wrote – now it has to be tit for tat.

She said that now people have to take refuge in Assam. The only remedy for this is the President’s rule and NRC. The land of saints and heroes is ruled by Taraka (demoness). However, people have reacted after Pragya Thakur’s post. A debate has started on social media about this. Some have described it as the beginning of becoming Kashmir, while some have described it as a pang of defeat for the BJP.

Pragya Thakur defeated Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat in the last election. Since then, she has made controversial comments on many issues due to which the BJP had to avoid her.
