CBI Summons Security Director Gyanwant Singh in Coal Scam Case

Kolkata, 1st May. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned West Bengal security director Gyanwant Singh for questioning in the coal scam case.

IPS Gyanwant Singh was appointed as the new security director of the state after security director Vivek Sahai was removed from the post after the accident of the state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.

Earlier the CBI has also questioned the relatives of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee in the multi-crore coal scam case. The investigating agency had issued a notice to Abhishek’s sister-in-law Maneka Gambhir’s husband Ankush Arora for questioning. Maneka’s father-in-law Pawan Arora was also called by the CBI for questioning.
