Battle Against Corona: Lockdown Extended in UP by 2 days

Lucknow, 3rd May. The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the Corona lockdown imposed on weekends for two more days. Additional Chief Secretary of the Information Department Navneet Sehgal said that the government has extended the lockdown.

Earlier the lockdown which was imposed from 8PM last Friday night to 7 AM Tuesday morning. Now this lockdown will remain in force till 7 am on May 6. He said that at present, this arrangement has been made for this week.

According to Health Department data, there has been a slight relief in the Corona case on Sunday compared to the previous two days. In 24 hours, 30,983 new patients were reported in the state. 290 corona infected people have died. Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday informed that 290 infected people died in the state in the last 24 hours and a total of 13,162 corona infected people have lost their lives so far. He said that the number of cases has so far increased to 13,13,361 after 30,983 new patients were reported in the state.

In the last 24 hours, 36,650 infected have recovered from the covid infection, compared to 30,983 new corona infected in UP. He said that till now 10,04,447 patients have recovered after treatment. Prasad said that the number of patients getting treated in the state has dropped and at present, a total of 2,95,752 patients are being treated. The number of patients treated in the state was 3,01,833 on Saturday.
