43 Ministers of TMC sworn in, Suvendu Adhikari Leader of Opposition

Kolkata, 10th May. 43 Ministers of TMC were sworn in at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, West Bengal today. Some MLAs joined the program virtually. Suvendu Adhikari became Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Manoj Tigga Deputy Leader.

Mamata Banerjee has become the Chief Minister for the third consecutive time after victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections 2021.

Mamata Banerjee has already taken the oath and started the work of office, and her cabinet has taken the oath today. Following the Covid guidelines at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, the Governor of Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar, administered the oath to all cabinet ministers, independent charge, and ministers of state. Three ministers took oath through video conferencing. Mamata Banerjee was also present during the swearing-in ceremony of the cabinet.

The Mamata Banerjee-led cabinet includes 17 new faces this time. Of the total 43 ministers, 24 are cabinet ministers, 10 ministers (independent charge) and 9 ministers of state.

Mamta Banerjee was sworn in as Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third consecutive time on 5th May. She has been elected as the 21st CM of West Bengal.

Along with former IPM Humayun Kabir, Manoj Tiwari, cricket field player have been included this time in Mamata’s cabinet. 8 women have also got a chance, 3 of which are from Scheduled Tribes.
