New Delhi, 11th Jan: Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that youth are the main drivers of India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat, as he interacted with 78 young leaders from Uttar Pradesh at an event in Delhi Cantonment.

The youth are among the participants of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in New Delhi from January 10 to 12. Commending their achievements across diverse fields, Rajnath Singh said their energy, aspirations and innovative spirit are shaping India’s future.

Calling on young leaders to adopt multidisciplinary learning, he urged them to stay updated with rapid technological changes, particularly in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology and space research.

“The learning process never ends. Learn from the latest practices, your own mistakes and the experiences of others. Dream big, but never let it become a burden,” the Raksha Mantri said.

Describing challenges as a natural part of life, he said testing times reveal true character. He urged youth to see difficulties as opportunities to strengthen resilience, integrity and self-confidence, while remaining humble and grounded.

The interaction was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and other senior officials.
